"Imprisoned" is a poem which talks about the mental trauma of a depressed mind. This poem captures that feeling of living a solitary life and the emotions of getting sucked into darkness.
We all go through depression at one stage of our lives. What matters most is how we can overcome it. If you like this poem, please share and if you know someone who is going through this phase - Just talk and make them feel good. 🙂
The shallow depths within
Is pulling me down,
In the shade of darkness
I regret and live in frown...
Imprisoned in the dark
And fooled by the easiest of lies,
I fall and have long lost the spark
After darkness has closed my eyes...
A thousand blinking stars
Doesn't lit up the sky at night,
But with a shiny twinkle of hope
I might still put up a good fight...
But I am imprisoned in the dark
And fooled by the smallest of lies,
I might keep falling forever
As darkness has closed my eyes...
I wish there was just one light
And I wish there was just one key,
For the door of this darkness
And I would be out feeling free...
But there isn't and I am imprisoned in the dark
Forever fooled by life's little lies,
Maybe this is a bad dream that I see
While darkness has closed my eyes...
